After the February 15, 2025 flooding event in southern WV and nearby VA and KY, we are thankful that all our employees are safe and that our founding bank location in Welch is still able to serve our home community.

But many in McDowell County are in dire need. Below are some effective ways that you can help.

    

  

McDowell County, WV Donations for February 2025 Flood Relief

Information on this page collected directly from the McDowell County Command Center. This Command Center and the Flood Relief effort is coordinated by talented and dedicated staff of all levels of State and County Government, working to expedite aid to all our hard-hit citizens in the aftermath of the devastating February 15 flooding.

To donate your Time / Equipment / Manpower:

If you are an organization desiring to come into our County and help, or if you are an individual who is willing and able to help, please call the McDowell County Flood Help Line at 888-929-4966 to find out where you’re needed the most.

To make Tax-Deductible Monetary Donations:

• Directly to the Flood Relief bank account:
◦ stop by, call, or mail to any MCNB Banks location; click here for addresses.
∙ Make check payable to McDowell County Sheriff (put “Flood Relief Donation” in memo)
∙ We will provide a tax-deductible receipt.
◦ To make a wire transfer, reach out to the County Tax Office for account information.

To donate Supplies:

Our other Banking Center locations are serving as drop-off points for needed supplies. These supplies will be taken to the County Command Center and distributed.
