1NEW CHECKING REQUIREMENTS and RULES:

  • Offer available until September 30, 2025, and is not available to existing MCNB Banks checking customers.
  • The offer is not available to those whose accounts have been closed within the last 90 days or closed with a negative balance.
  • Limit one new checking bonus per person.
  • Minimum $50 required to open the account.
  • To receive the bonus, open any new MCNB checking account, which is subject to approval, complete 2 of the following within 90 days:
  1. Enroll in eStatements; AND/OR
  2. Have 2 direct deposits made to this account within the first 90 days; AND/OR
  3. Use your MCNB debit card for 12 or more point-of-sale transactions during a statement period.
  • Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government.
  • Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit.
  • Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account.
  • After you have completed all the above requirements, we’ll deposit the bonus in your new account on the 91st day.
  • To receive the bonus, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout.
  • Eligibility may be limited based on account ownership.
  • Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

  • If your friend opens a checking account in-person,
  1. Get a referral coupon from your local Banking Center and fill in your information on the back side.
  2. Give the form to your friends and family for them to take with them to their local MCNB Banking Center upon account opening.
  3. When they open a new MCNB checking account with two of the following: eStatements, Direct Deposit, and/or 12 or more debit point-of-sale transactions during a statement period, then $125 will be deposited in your account within 30 days.

  • If your friend opens a checking account online,

  1. At the online question “How did you hear about us?”, they can choose “Friends & Family”.
  2. In the next field, ask them to type your full name as it appears on your accounts with MCNB.
  3. When they open a new MCNB checking account with two of the following: eStatements, Direct Deposit, and/or 12 or more debit point-of-sale transactions during a statement period, then $125 will be deposited in your account within 30 days.
